Maître José-Miguel RUBIDO has been practising as a notary since his appointment in 2002. He is President of the Geneva Chamber of Notaries, the member of the Committee and the Training Commission of the Foundation of Swiss Notaries, also as a former member of the Training Commission of the Geneva Chamber of Notaries (2006-2021). He is also a member of the Supervisory Commission for Notaries, of the Examination Committee for Obtaining the Notaries’ Licence in Geneva and the Agricultural Land Commission.
As Doctor of Law, holder of a master’s in rural land law (DEA) and a certificate of advanced studies (CAS) in inheritance law, Maître José-Miguel RUBIDO is the scientific director of the online review Not@lex, and author of iusNet Droit civil. He is also a founder member of the Seniorlaw.ch network.
In addition, Maître José-Miguel RUBIDO is the author of publications on real estate law, rural land law, inheritance law, matrimonial property law, and the law relating to the representation of adults and children, and on company and fiscal law. In particular, he is the author of a thesis on “The exercise of the law on real estate pre-emption relating to private law”, published by Editions Schulthess (2012), and has co-edited a book on “The rights of the elderly”, published by Stämpfli Editions SA (2019).
